We believe the power to restore our oceans lives in the coastal communities bearing witness to the planetary crises. Our vision is a future where coastal life thrives in and out of the water. A future where communities have the agency and resources needed to protect their livelihoods, culture and biodiversity for generations to come. We provide funding, data tools, training, and advocacy support to amplify community-powered change and shift national policies from exclusion to agency. Through initiatives like Transform Bottom Trawling (transformbottomtrawling.org) and our growing network of 400 civil society organisations, we're catalysing a global movement. Mission and direction
Blue Ventures supports coastal communities to restore ocean health and rebuild tropical fisheries through community-led conservation, sustainable fisheries management, marine spatial planning and evidence-based advocacy. By combining funding, data tools, training and partnerships, the organisation helps local people protect livelihoods, culture and biodiversity while driving lasting change in ocean stewardship.
