Future Woodlands Scotland remote work and careers

Future Woodlands Scotland is a charity working to protect, create and restore Scotland’s woodlands. Our priorities are to: - Restore Scotland’s ancient ‘ghost’ woodlands before they are lost forever, by providing vital support and funding to landowners and farmers. - Encourage forestry practices that restore ecosystems, boost biodiversity, and strengthen the long-term health and resilience of our nation’s woodlands. - Create greener, healthier environments in Scotland’s towns and cities, focusing on communities living on low incomes who are disproportionately impacted by the impacts of climate change. - Build a diverse workforce of skilled people who will ensure woodlands are sustainable and resilient through the provision of training opportunities in a range of disciples. - Expand knowledge by supporting research that deepens understanding of native woodlands, and the impact of them on communities, climate and biodiversity. Our vision is a Scotland where trees and native woodlands are thriving for our wildlife, communities and climate.
