Building power with AAPI women and girls since 1996
About National Asian Pacific American Women's Forum (NAPAWF)
NAPAWF is the only organization focused on building power with AAPI women and girls to influence critical decisions that affect our lives, our families and our communities. Using a reproductive justice framework, we elevate AAPI women and girls to impact policy and drive systemic change in the United States. Founded in 1996, NAPAWF was created to amplify AAPI women’s stories and experiences and to support the public visibility needed to shape policy and cultural change. Today, we are mobilizing and building power in 11 cities across the United States to create social, political, and economic change for AAPI women and girls. We also show up in solidarity for other women of color who are experiencing injustice and harms of oppression and marginalization.
Mission and direction
NAPAWF is the only organization focused on building power with AAPI women and girls to influence critical decisions that affect our lives, our families and our communities. Using a reproductive justice framework, we elevate AAPI women and girls to impact policy and drive systemic change in the United States. Founded in 1996 by 100 AANHPI women, NAPAWF empowers AANHPI women and girls to impact policy and drive systemic change by building a multilingual and multigenerational movement for social, political, and structural change.
