About Normal VR
Normal VR is the creator of Normcore, a cloud game server hosting service that hosts games for millions of players every month. In addition to Normcore, Normal is the creator of Nock and Half + Half VR. Founded by award-winning artist and entrepreneur Max Weisel. He’s collaborated with musicians Björk & Lady Gaga and his work is part of the permanent collection at the New York Museum of Modern Art. His previous studio, RelativeWave, was acquired by Google in 2014.
Mission and direction
Normal VR builds developer infrastructure and tools that help game studios create, launch, and scale real-time multiplayer experiences. Its Normcore platform provides hosted backend services such as multiplayer, matchmaking, lobbies, leaderboards, analytics, and accounts APIs, enabling developers to focus on gameplay while relying on a managed cloud service for the complexity of online game systems.
