Stoic is an independent game developer known for the Banner Saga trilogy and Towerborne.  Formed in early 2012 in by industry veterans, we enjoy collaborations with developers around the world.

 Gather requirements from design and production to help the team build out a roadmap and consistently deliver value sprint to sprint.  Collaborate with a wide range of disciplines in a respectful and empathetic manner.  Design implement test and maintain robust backend services to power new game features.  Create architectural designs for building backend infrastructure that is stable scalable and testable.  Work closely with Unreal engineers to optimize call patterns and payload sizes to maintain performant game and backend when integrating new APIs.  Build out internal web-based tooling for a variety of audiences to interact with backend systems and data.  Take part in and help build out a runbook and knowledge base for on-call rotation to respond to issue escalations for our live game services.

 Plan and schedule work based on requirements.  Collaborate with various team disciplines in a respectful and empathetic manner.  Implement test and maintain robust backend services for game features.  Integrate backend APIs with the Unreal engine for gaming enhancements.  Develop web-based internal tooling for data and system interaction.  Participate in on-call rotation to manage live game service issues.
