Remote Accountant ll Job in Tacoma, WA MultiCare Health System

Who you are

• Bachelor’s degree in Science or Arts in business administration with major or specialty in accounting required
• Five years of recent, relevant healthcare experience in progressively more responsible positions may be substituted for the degree
• Minimum three (3) years of accounting experience, preferably in a healthcare setting
• Experience in creating and working with Excel spreadsheets
• Experience in Microsoft Word and Outlook preferred

What the job involves

• The Accountant II is an integral role on the MultiCare finance team, responsible for month-close tasks and ledger reconciliation. In this position, you will apply your accounting expertise to ensure smooth financial operations.
• You will prepare journal entries and adjustments in general and subsidiary ledgers
• You will prepare monthly reconciliations and analyses of general ledger accounts
• You will meet monthly close deadlines and follows-up as appropriate with supervisor/reviewer to assure timely preparation of all work.
