Requirements
- 8+ years of corporate accounting experience
- People management experience including performance management and professional development
- Experience in a remote growth-stage or fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and proactive self-starter mindset
- Ability to prioritize competing demands in a deadline-driven environment
- Deep knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements
- Experience with technical accounting research and application including ASC 606 ASC 350-40 ASC 810 or ASC 860
- Experience designing implementing and monitoring internal controls
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex financial data
- Effective written and verbal communication skills

Day to day
- Lead Hometap’s corporate accounting function and manage a direct report plus external consultants
- Prepare and present accurate monthly quarterly and annual financial statements while partnering across finance and operations
- Research and resolve technical accounting issues strengthen internal controls and improve accounting processes for efficiency and accuracy
