Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least 3 years of related experience
  • Experience in cash applications in a healthcare setting
  • Knowledge of posting payments and resolving denials via 835 EOB EOP
  • Ability to process claims bills and invoices
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient records
  • Must live in New Mexico or be willing to relocate

Day to day

  • Performs complex accounts receivable and billing functions to resolve difficult payment and ledger issues
  • Posts insurance remittances and patient payments accurately using electronic 835 files and manual entry
  • Reviews credit balances and overpayments then researches payer documents to apply adjustments and corrections
  • Interacts with payers and patients to resolve posting issues and supports lower level staff with guidance
