Requirements
- 5-7+ years of experience in pharmaceutical advertising or marketing, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
- Proven experience in copywriting for high science therapeutics like rare diseases and oncology
- Exceptional writing skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy
- Solid knowledge of FDA regulations and pharmaceutical marketing guidelines
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills
- Experience with content marketing strategies for the HCP audience
- Knowledge of medical terminology and disease states
- Experience with project management tools and workflows
Day to day
- Provide strategic leadership and vision for the copywriting department, ensuring all copy is clear, concise, compliant, and resonates with the target HCP audience
- Collaborate closely with account management, research, and art direction teams to develop integrated marketing campaigns across all channels, with a focus on high science therapeutics
- Concept, develop, and refine compelling copy for a variety of materials, including healthcare professional (HCP) and patient materials
- Lead brainstorming sessions and nurture a creative environment that fosters innovation and collaboration within the copywriting team
- Recruit, mentor, and develop the skills of copywriters, ensuring ongoing professional growth within the department
- Stay abreast of the latest industry trends and regulatory requirements for pharmaceutical advertising
- Present creative concepts and recommendations to clients with confidence and clarity
