Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Engineering Technology or Industrial Design
- 3 + years of experience in design of complex additive or gas turbine components
- Strong expertise in design software tools such as NX and SolidWorks
- Experience with handling 3D scan data and creating parametric models
- System level CAD model parametric modeling and PLM/PDM experience
- Experience working with additive manufacturing technologies and familiarity with design for additive manufacturing principles
- Expertise in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
- Passion for additive technology and willingness to challenge current design limitations
- Strong oral and written communication interpersonal and leadership skills
- Demonstrated problem solving ability and strong program leadership and execution skills
- Proven self-starter and quick learner who can work in fast-paced cross-functional teams

Day to day
- Work with engineers to execute the design analysis and evaluation of turbomachinery components using sound engineering principles while meeting industry standards and program requirements
- Create definitions of parts modules and assemblies in various formats to support analysis manufacturing and assembly
- Provide quality checks to eliminate interferences and ensure interface requirements are met
- Perform reverse engineering by using scan data and creating new part models using parametric modeling
- Ensure product designs follow standards for Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
- Support design reviews and collaborate with other disciplines in design performance controls and system integration
- Participate in the research and development of technologies and methodologies associated with additive design
- Advise on ways to improve product design through the exploitation of additive manufacturing
- Role will initially be an individual contributor comfortable working in a dynamic self-directed start-up environment with the potential for future team leadership
- Assure proper documentation of technical data generated consistent with engineering best practices
