Who you are

  • Master or Ph.D. in Material Science, Physics, Chemistry, or EE with AFM experience.
  • Knowledge or experience in semiconductor fabrication industry preferred.
  • CMP/Etch process experience is a plus.
  • 0-2 years of experience in relevant fields preferred.
  • Technical background in AFM and/or other surface characterization techniques like ellipsometry, white light interferometry, and OCD preferred.
  • Good knowledge in statistics and data analysis.
  • Experience in metrology preferred.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Experience in technical writing.
  • Oral and written communication skills.
  • Interpersonal relationship skills.
  • Intercultural skills.
  • Strong customer orientation.
  • Ability to work and be creative under pressure and with tight deadlines.

  • Knowledge of Scanning Probe Microscopy (SPM) and associated applications highly desired.
  • Knowledge of semiconductor process flow/metrology solutions and associated applications highly desired.
  • Prior experience working in a semiconductor fab as an employee or vendor.

What the job involves

  • Provides technical expertise through sales presentations, product demonstrations, installation, and maintenance of company products.
  • Assists customers with assessing potential applications and preparing detailed product specifications for the development and implementation of customer applications/solutions.
  • Builds applications based on customer requirements to demonstrate feasibility, often requiring rapid prototyping and/or product demos for clients.
  • Provides follow-up support to sales staff and customer personnel by disseminating technical information on specific applications.
  • Works on complex problems requiring in-depth data analysis of various factors.
  • Develops a strong understanding of competitive technologies and products in the AFM product line.
  • Maintains and increases AFM product usage.
  • Creates, develops, and continuously improves the customer support and applications knowledge database.
