Requirements
- Strong background in chemical engineering materials science or process engineering with powders granulation or particulate materials experience
- Experience in solid handling design and control including authoring Basis of Design documentation
- Demonstrable experience taking chemical or materials-based products into manufacturing or scale-up environments
- Ability to operate across chemical understanding and manufacturing or process engineering disciplines
- Experience applying manufacturing discipline to novel or evolving processes
- Clear technical communication and documentation skills

Day to day
- Translate materials science and chemical formulations into scalable manufacturing processes for carbon-negative products.
- Design run and interpret bench and pilot-scale trials to optimise mixing binding particle formation drying cooling stabilisation and screening.
- Define material specifications operating windows and acceptance criteria and turn trial learnings into robust SOPs operator guidance and production-ready processes.
- Support safe handling scale-up quality control and deployment readiness for particulate and powdered material systems.
- Provide materials engineering input to low-carbon construction and infrastructure materials across the estate.
