Remote Assessment Manager – Legal Metrology Job in UK UKAS

Who you are

• Good understanding of modern quality management systems preferably ISO/IEC 17025
• Experience with Measuring Instruments Regulations (MIR) and Non-Automatic Weighing Measurements Regulations (NAWI)
• Technical and educational background as a legal metrologist
• Experience in Trading Standards
• Excellent interpersonal communication and organisation skills
• Relevant hands-on experience and broad sector knowledge
• Experience in organisation auditing or assessment
• Degree educated (desirable)

• Serve as the key focal point for customers ensuring their accreditation expectations are met with objectivity, diligence, and excellent customer service
• Select assessment teams determining the optimal approach for each project
• Lead assessments and coordinate team activities to ensure seamless execution
• Collate and report on each assessment providing clear and comprehensive feedback
• Oversee the progression of each assessment project from inception to completion
