- Professional experience with Ruby on Rails and Git
- Design and build fault-tolerant, distributed systems
- Build and scale highly-available systems
- Experience with queueing and messaging systems
- Experience with provisioning tools
- Experience with tools for backup and restore of databases, app configuration, and infrastructure

- Develop scalable and performant product features for GitLab Geo product
- Work with the Product Manager to assess technical feasibility of feature requests
- Deliver proof-of-concept proposals for technical discussions
