Looking to make a lasting impact in your career? We are supporting our client in finding a talented Backend Engineer to join their remote team. As a Backend Engineer, you will have the opportunity to contribute to all areas of our client's stack, from ingesting data from 3rd parties to data processing pipelines, domain services, and external-facing APIs. If you have senior-level Go programming experience and a strong understanding of distributed systems and microservices, this role is perfect for you!
Pay Range: $150,000 to $225,000; The salary may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Responsibilities:Write reliable, high-quality, performant, maintainable codeContribute to all areas of the Client's stackCollaborate daily with a small team of passionate engineersConduct timely code and PR reviewsCollaborate daily with Product leadership and other stakeholders to ensure requirements are met and issues are handled promptlyPrioritize customer care as a core element of your role
Technical Skills:Must have senior-level Go programming experienceExperience designing, developing, and optimizing backend systems with a focus on low-latency data processingUnderstanding of large datasets, low latency moving data through a pipeline, data quality, and different ways of moving data (binary, JSON, Parquet)Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices, and APIsFamiliarity with deploying and operating in Kubernetes
Preferred Skills:Experience with KafkaBackground in telephony, streaming or messaging industry
