Remote Backend Engineer Job in London, UK CrowdStrike

Who you are

• Experience with developing API or event driven microservices using Java, Go, or Node.JS
• Experience with designing and developing scalable, performant, and resilient microservices
• Experience with building REST API microservices supporting 100s of requests per second with API contract documentation and integration test examples
• Experience with building event driven microservices that support thousands of events per second using Kafka or SQS
• Experience with developing multi-threaded solutions addressing parallel processing and concurrency concerns
• Experience with modeling persistent data schemas/structures within RDBMS and NoSQL storage engines
• Experience with coding standards, secure coding standards, appropriate testing paradigms, and code reviews
• Experience with public cloud infrastructure like AWS, GCP or Azure
• Experience with Agile or traditional SDLC development processes

What the job involves

• Develop and maintain backend microservices that are resilient, performant, and scalable to handle millions of events daily
• Ensure that developed solutions adhere to company SLO/SLA guarantees by using performance testing and other health indicators
• Collaborate with engineering and product team members to conceptualize, design, build, and support back-end services
• Ensure software quality through manual, unit and integration testing to detect defects before production release
• Lead development efforts with internal or external team members ensuring timely, defect-free delivery commitments
