Remote Backend Engineer Job in United States Doxel

Who you are

• 3+ years with experience in Python C++ or a FP Language
• 2+ years of experience in a full stack or back end role in an agile, cloud based environment
• 1+ year of experience with ETL pipelines
• Experience with Kubernetes and Airflow
• Experience with SQL and deep database knowledge for modifying queries and tables
• Experience with test driven development
• Experience with CV or ML development a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or other technical discipline

What the job involves

• Engineers on the Backend team produce the foundation for Doxel's construction insights. The team owns the technology that snapshots huge amounts of construction activity and ingests massive amounts of data. You will work closely with Product, Frontend Engineering, and Design to build a polished product that serves customer’s needs.
• The engineering team needs to bolster the data pipeline and API platform to reduce service disruptions and support new features. You will promote strong design patterns and unify our data pipeline. You're eager to learn outside your domain and able to teach inside your domain. You care deeply about reliable, low-upkeep software.
• Create and maintain APIs for front-end applications. Extend the ETL pipeline to meet evolving business needs. Create diagnostic tools for data quality and pipeline performance. Find trade-offs between 'fast' and 'rigorous' in a dynamic startup. Monitor workflows, introduce flexible paradigms for data flow and infrastructure. Work with CV and ML engineers to release state-of-the-art 3D computer vision models.
