Who you are

  • Strong experience in a business development environment in the UK Public Sector
  • Knowledge of Public Sector tender processes, including Government Frameworks for Central Government
  • Experience in IT Services and technology solutions environment
  • Influencing skills to get multi-level support
  • Proven experience in building strong customer relationships



What the job involves

  • As a Business Development Director, you will spend significant time with customers on-site and with the Version 1 team. You will need to travel regularly to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and grow revenue. The role includes a focus on new business development, maintaining existing accounts, and exploring new opportunities through networking and strategic partnerships.
  • You will work closely with delivery practices to achieve commercial targets and ensure successful contract execution. Lead sales opportunities both directly and through strategic technology partnerships.
  • You will lead quarterly business review meetings, prepare and manage bid and sales materials, and develop account plans to help shape customer strategies.
