Who you are

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience
  • Experience working in a communications environment
  • Media relations experience
  • Experience writing press materials / social content
  • Event management experience
  • Critical and analytical skills
  • Fluent in English, written and spoken
  • Effective relationship management skills with external and internal stakeholders
  • Proven ability to manage up
  • Project management skills
  • Flawless grammar and keen eye for accuracy
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and video conferencing tools

Desirables

  • Confident presentation skills
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace and Slack
  • Knowledge of policy issues affecting refugees
  • Familiarity with business issues: diversity and inclusion, employee engagement



What the job involves

  • Organising and executing in-person and virtual Tent UK events, including workshops, conferences, and job fairs
  • Researching and pitching speaking opportunities in the UK
  • Supporting all communication activities, including media engagement, producing social content, and writing talking points
  • Supporting Tent’s mentorship programmes, maintaining relationships with partners, and conducting research on companies for potential partnerships
