Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in communications journalism media sports management or related field
  • 1-2 years experience in public relations sports or entertainment media relations communications influencer programming journalism or related field
  • Strong understanding of public and media relations including U.S. and Canadian media landscapes targeted pitching and press operations
  • Proficient with computers and MS Office programs
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail for planning editing compiling stats and fact checking
  • Ability to travel as needed for games and events
  • Flexibility to work evenings weekends and holidays as needed
  • Legally authorized to work in the country of residence on a full-time basis

Day to day

  • Support the league's communications function with a focus on publicity and business communications
  • Draft and edit press releases media advisories talking points bios and messaging aligned to brand standards
  • Build media relationships track coverage coordinate interviews and help execute communications for league events
