Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in communications public health journalism marketing or related field
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in strategic communications health communication or digital content development
  • Strong writing editing and plain language skills
  • Experience producing content for federal government or public health audiences preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools including SharePoint Teams and PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with Power BI or Power Automate a plus
  • Experience with social media management web content management systems and digital analytics tools preferred
  • Working knowledge of Section 508 compliance requirements and WCAG 2.0 accessibility standards
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast paced remote environment with minimal supervision
  • Experience supporting federal health agencies or health communications programs preferred

Day to day

  • Develop and edit health communication materials across web social email and presentation formats for diverse public health audiences
  • Manage digital channels and content updates while coordinating posting engagement and platform activity
  • Support communication strategy metrics reporting review clearance workflows and accessibility compliance across federal programs
