Who you are
Law Degree from an accredited law school in the United Kingdom or European Union
Licensed to practice law in England & Wales, or in an EU country
2-3 years’ PQE in the TMT team of reputable law firm, or equivalent in-house experience working with SaaS agreements
Strong communication, negotiation, and contract drafting skills
Strong substantive knowledge of intellectual property laws
Consistent good judgment and ability to apply legal knowledge to create practical business solutions
Ability to work well under pressure with diligence, organization, and minimal supervision, and provide practical advice to clients
Ability to manage a diverse and complex workload while maintaining priorities and proactively anticipating issues
Experience managing a volume of large and/or strategic agreements and a suite of agreement templates through collaboration tools
Must be flexible and able to adapt to changes and deadlines
Self-starter who operates well in a fast-paced environment focused on integrity, excellence, execution, and teamwork
Desirables
Knowledge of competition law in a technology context
Foreign language proficiency in Italian, Spanish or German
Experience negotiating SaaS agreements with Financial Institutions or the Public Sector
What the job involves
Provide commercial legal support to the Sales and Channel organisations in the EMEA region
Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of agreements focusing on cloud services and SaaS, channel partner agreements, software license and support agreements, and professional services agreements
Provide commercial and general legal advice to the business, including advice to internal stakeholders in connection with company processes and procedures
Support the EMEA legal team to drive efficiency in its processes and act as a point of contact with the Legal Operations team to ensure alignment with best practices globally
Support RFP responses from a legal perspective
Stay abreast of the latest legal and regulatory developments related to cloud-based software solutions and share knowledge with team members
Contribute to and refine Genesys’ templates, playbooks, and guidance documents
