Remote Corporate Counsel – EMEA Job in UK Genesys

Who you are

• Law Degree from an accredited law school in the United Kingdom or European Union
• Licensed to practice law in England & Wales, or in an EU country
• 2-3 years’ PQE in the TMT team of reputable law firm, or equivalent in-house experience working with SaaS agreements
• Strong communication, negotiation, and contract drafting skills
• Strong substantive knowledge of intellectual property laws
• Consistent good judgment and ability to apply legal knowledge to create practical business solutions
• Ability to work well under pressure with diligence, organization, and minimal supervision, and provide practical advice to clients
• Ability to manage a diverse and complex workload while maintaining priorities and proactively anticipating issues
• Experience managing a volume of large and/or strategic agreements and a suite of agreement templates through collaboration tools
• Must be flexible and able to adapt to changes and deadlines
• Self-starter who operates well in a fast-paced environment focused on integrity, excellence, execution, and teamwork

Desirables

• Knowledge of competition law in a technology context
• Foreign language proficiency in Italian, Spanish or German
• Experience negotiating SaaS agreements with Financial Institutions or the Public Sector

What the job involves

• Provide commercial legal support to the Sales and Channel organisations in the EMEA region
• Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of agreements focusing on cloud services and SaaS, channel partner agreements, software license and support agreements, and professional services agreements
• Provide commercial and general legal advice to the business, including advice to internal stakeholders in connection with company processes and procedures
• Support the EMEA legal team to drive efficiency in its processes and act as a point of contact with the Legal Operations team to ensure alignment with best practices globally
• Support RFP responses from a legal perspective
• Stay abreast of the latest legal and regulatory developments related to cloud-based software solutions and share knowledge with team members
• Contribute to and refine Genesys’ templates, playbooks, and guidance documents
