Requirements
- An intellectually curious self-starter with strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive team player, with a sense of humor, flexibility to pivot to new projects and adjust to shifting priorities, and willingness to pitch in wherever necessary.
- Ability to explain complicated legal concepts in simple, digestible terms and help business colleagues translate those requirements into practical action items.
- High emotional intelligence and strong interpersonal skills, including diplomacy and flexibility, and the ability to interface effectively with personnel at different levels throughout the Company and in different geographic regions.
- JD from an ABA accredited law school and admission to and active status in at least one state bar (and eligible to register for California’s or an applicable state bar’s in-house counsel program).
- 3 to 5 years of experience providing litigation and regulatory support to technology companies at a well-regarded law firm and/or a corporate legal department.
- Federal judicial clerkship preferred.

Day to day
- Manage and resolve day-to-day pre-litigation and litigation matters, including consumer or commercial matters, IP disputes, and employment-related issues.
- Help develop and oversee litigation strategy and resolution in complex litigation matters, including working with outside counsel.
- Provide legal guidance on risk-related strategy, compliance matters and manage internal investigations.
- Stay updated on regulatory developments and evolving industry standards and translate them into actionable guidance.
- Evaluate proposed product initiatives to provide practical legal risk mitigation strategies for products across multiple jurisdictions.
