Who you are

  • Minimum of NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Hydraulic Engineering discipline
  • Proven experience working with port cranes
  • Strong knowledge of crane systems, including mechanical, electrical or hydraulic components
  • Industry certifications or tickets related to crane maintenance and operation (e.g., CPCS, NPORS, IPAF)
  • Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and under pressure
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise professionally with clients and team members
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to customer sites as required

What the job involves

  • Conduct routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on RTG's, STS, mobile harbour and RMG cranes to ensure safe and efficient operation
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical or hydraulic issues, implementing timely and effective solutions
  • Perform upgrades, modifications, and installations as required to enhance crane performance and functionality
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to coordinate service activities and minimize downtime
  • Provide technical support and training to customers and onsite personnel to optimize crane operation and maintenance practices
  • Maintain accurate documentation of service activities, including work orders, inspection reports, and equipment records.
