Requirements

  • 4+ years in software engineering or data engineering or SIS specialist role
  • Experience with Student Information Systems or other K-12 platforms
  • Hands-on experience with APIs data exports imports and plugin development
  • Strong skills in SQL Python and ETL or ELT tools
  • Experience with RESTful APIs SFTP and other data exchange methods
  • Experience working with educational data
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts
  • Experience with data quality assurance validation and reconciliation
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to translate customer data requirements into technical specifications and QA checks
  • Ability to work independently in a fully remote position

Day to day

  • Build and maintain custom integrations and ETL processes across K-12 and internal/external systems
  • Design and optimize scalable data pipelines that improve data accuracy and availability
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to deliver robust solutions and troubleshoot data flow issues
  • Perform QA on downstream data and maintain technical documentation for systems data models and workflows
