Remote Data Engineer Job in UK Hard Rock Digital

Who you are

• Degree in computer science or related field or 3+ years work experience
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Proven track record using technology to automate data processes
• Strong SQL skills including Jinja templating/DBT
• Experience with Snowflake and Airflow (Astronomer)
• Experience with Java
• Experience with Python including packages like NumPy, Pandas, scikit-learn
• Experience with Spark for manipulating and processing large datasets
• Understanding of AWS Cloud technologies to create scalable applications
• Exposure to AWS Serverless and serverless-supported languages
• Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases like MySQL, Cassandra, DynamoDB, Snowflake
• Knowledge of streaming technologies like Amazon Kinesis, Kafka
• Familiarity with message queues like SQS, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ
• Comfortable working within an agile development cycle
• Familiar with Linux development and versioning software like Git
• Experience with build systems like Maven, SBT, Gradle and build patterns
• Experience automating data flows in a regulated environment a plus
