Remote Data Engineer Job in United States MeridianLink

Who you are

• 2-4 years professional Data Engineering and Data warehousing experience
• Bachelor's degree highly preferred
• Strong implementation experience in Python, Parquet, Spark, Azure Databricks, Delta Lake, Databricks Data Warehouse
• Databricks workflows, Delta Sharing and Unity Catalog
• SQL development knowledge including stored procedures, triggers, jobs, indexes, partitioning, pruning
• Write debugging complex SQL queries
• ETL/ELT and Data-warehousing techniques and best practices
• Experience building, maintaining, scaling ETL/ELT processes and infrastructure
• Experience with various data modelling techniques
• Experience working with BI visualization tool (Sisense a plus)
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Preferred Gitlab, Jenkins)
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (Azure strongly preferred)
• Experience in fast-paced product environment

Desirables

• UI development frameworks like JavaScript, Django, REACT
• Knowledge of various Ingestion patterns like API/SQL servers
• Master Data Management
• Prior Financial industry experience
• Navigate ambiguity and pivot based on business priorities
• Strong communication, negotiating, estimating skills
• Team player collaboration

What the job involves

• Responsible for expanding and improving data and data pipeline architecture
• Optimize data flow and MDM for cross functional teams
• Support database architects, data analysts and data scientists on data initiatives
• Ensure optimal data delivery throughout ongoing projects
• Comfortable supporting the data needs of multiple teams, systems, and products
• Optimize or re-design data pipelines to support new products and data initiatives
