Remote Data Engineer Job in California, United States Splunk

Who you are

• Bachelor's degree required, preferably in a numerate subject area
• 5+ years of experience in data management and analytics solutions including Snowflake, DBT, SQL, and Python
• Experience with Gitlab or equivalent version control system
• Deep understanding of data engineering, architecture, and systems
• Highly organized and experienced with JIRA
• Understanding of SaaS and/or Enterprise Sales business models
• Familiarity with Enterprise Sales Infrastructure such as Salesforce.com
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical skills for summarizing and presenting principles
• Ability to build, document, implement, measure and enhance processes
• Effective prioritization within complex business structures
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environment

What the job involves

• Design and develop go to market analytics using dbt, Snowflake, and Python
• Coordinate analytics deployments with the Analytics Data Platform Team and dashboard delivery with the Tableau engineering team
• Develop a deep hands-on understanding of data and benchmarking
• Ensure alignment with data management strategy and landscape at Splunk
• Monitor and diagnose business performance using data and insights
• Improve systems, process, and data for performance insights
• Lead documentation efforts for GTM metrics
• Support and direct scalable strategies for the business's needs
• Collaborate with operations, analytics, and business alteration teams
• Drive Cloud/Term renewal strategy in collaboration with CSMs, Renewals, Sales, Sales Operations, and Finance
• Prioritize work to positively impact Splunk’s bottom line
