Who you are

• Doctorate in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Economics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or related field or Master's Degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Economics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year(s) data-science experience or Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Economics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years experience
• 1+ year(s) customer-facing, project-delivery experience, professional services, and/or consulting experience
• Ability to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter
• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements

Desirables

• 3+ years data-science experience
• Managing structured and unstructured data
• Applying statistical techniques and reporting results
• Incorporate customer feedback

What the job involves

• Partner with Visual Studio, VS Code, and Azure teams to understand customer journey, product adoption trends, and user retention.
• Build explanatory models, conduct statistical tests, and apply causal methods to differentiate signal versus noise.
• Communicate findings through written reports and presentations with clarifying visuals to help product teams make data-informed decisions.
