Requirements
- 3+ years in data engineering or data warehousing roles
- Advanced SQL and T-SQL skills with performance tuning experience
- Hands-on Azure Data Factory, Synapse SQL, Data Lake Gen2, and Key Vault experience
- Experience with ETL or ELT for file-based and API data sources
- Strong data modeling skills including star and snowflake schemas and SCDs
- Git proficiency and CI/CD concepts for pipeline deployment
- Demonstrated troubleshooting and root-cause analysis across complex systems
- Experience supporting BI and analytics users such as Power BI consumers
- Knowledge of observability tools, alerts, dashboards, and SLA adherence
- Understanding of security and governance practices including RBAC and Managed Identity

Day to day
- Design, build, and operate Maverick's Azure data platform with a strong focus on reliability and continuous improvement
- Monitor pipeline health, SLAs, alerts, and incidents while troubleshooting data integration failures and performing root-cause analysis
- Develop and optimize Azure Data Factory pipelines and Synapse SQL solutions for batch and incremental data ingestion, governance, and performance
