Minimum HNC/HND in Electrical or Electronic Engineering
Strong ability to interpret technical specifications
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Solid knowledge of Fire & Gas detection equipment
Experience with AutoCAD for design work
Desirables
Experience with software and graphic systems
Full UK driving license
Familiarity with Tyco Fire Detection systems
Prior experience in Fire & Gas design
SC clearance or BPSS clearance, particularly for work on MOD projects
What the job involves
Develop fire detection and alarm designs in line with marine standards, ensuring all designs meet client specifications and industry regulations
Collaborate closely with project teams to interpret technical specifications and commercial documentation, contributing to the success of marine fire detection projects
Act as a key point of contact, providing engineering solutions and working closely with clients and suppliers to ensure project requirements are met
Produce and deliver high-quality documentation on time, ensuring projects are completed within budget and according to client specifications
Travel within the UK and overseas as required to survey existing systems, set up equipment for Factory Acceptance Tests, and ensure systems are tested and ready before deployment
