Remote Design Engineer Fire Detection Job in Sunbury-On-Thames, UK Johnson Controls

Who you are

• Proven experience in electrical engineering
• Minimum HNC/HND in Electrical or Electronic Engineering
• Strong ability to interpret technical specifications
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Solid knowledge of Fire & Gas detection equipment
• Experience with AutoCAD for design work

Desirables

• Experience with software and graphic systems
• Full UK driving license
• Familiarity with Tyco Fire Detection systems
• Prior experience in Fire & Gas design
• SC clearance or BPSS clearance, particularly for work on MOD projects

What the job involves

• Develop fire detection and alarm designs in line with marine standards, ensuring all designs meet client specifications and industry regulations
• Collaborate closely with project teams to interpret technical specifications and commercial documentation, contributing to the success of marine fire detection projects
• Act as a key point of contact, providing engineering solutions and working closely with clients and suppliers to ensure project requirements are met
• Produce and deliver high-quality documentation on time, ensuring projects are completed within budget and according to client specifications
• Travel within the UK and overseas as required to survey existing systems, set up equipment for Factory Acceptance Tests, and ensure systems are tested and ready before deployment
