The Role & Team
A new opportunity has arisen for a DevOps Engineer to become a part of the AppCheck DevOps team. Working on existing CI/CD, monitoring, alerting and dockerised systems will be the primary focus of the role at first. You will be responsible for a wide range of DevOps activities, with the goal of working on the production platform's whole stack and contributing to the CI/CD flow.

Who We’re Looking For:
Essential:
Knowledge, and track record, of implementing and overseeing CI/CD workflows.Proficient at creating and designing CI/CD pipelines.Working experience in controlling versions using Git.Strong knowledge of the application build process, tagging, and releases.Prior GitLab ecosystem experienceExpertise in configuration management systems.Practical familiarity with provisioning technologies that are both mutable and immutable (Terraform, Ansible, etc.).Substantial experience in shell scripting and Python coding.Demonstrated networking and Linux administration abilities.Experience working with virtualised environments and public clouds.Extensive expertise of Docker and Docker-Compose.Knowledgeable about alerting and monitoring solutions.Knowledge of log aggregation technologies.Experience with Graylog, ELK or similarBroad expertise in platform troubleshooting.
Desirable:
Working knowledge of SaltStackWorking knowledge of Prometheus and Grafana
Cloud vs. On-Prem
Please note that our technology stack is hosted mostly on-prem. We do not use AWS, GCP or Azure. We're are happy to hear from candidates with experience in cloud technologies, but please bear in mind that in this role you will not use AWS, GCP or Azure.
Remote Working
This role will be predominantly remote, with approximately 4-6 visits to our office in Leeds per year.
