Requirements

  • 2+ years of litigation docketing experience at a law firm
  • Knowledge of state and federal procedures and court processes including Illinois Pennsylvania Delaware Texas Florida and/or California
  • Knowledge of the federal courts’ CM/ECF system
  • Knowledge of assorted state court filing systems such as Odyssey
  • Ability and willingness to work overtime on nights and weekends as needed
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and adapt quickly
  • Excellent verbal written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to meet time-sensitive deadlines
  • Ability to function well under pressure in a fast-paced demanding environment
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion and good judgment
  • Ability to exercise sound independent judgment and proactive problem-solving
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team

Day to day

  • Maintain and update the firm's docketing system to accurately track critical deadlines court dates and filing requirements across active litigation matters
  • Support attorneys and paralegals with deadline tracking date calculations jurisdictional rules and court rule research across state and federal jurisdictions
  • Review finalize and electronically file time-sensitive legal documents coordinate admissions and credentials and ensure docket entries reports and procedures remain precise and compliant
