What the job involves

  • The individual will work with others in the company to develop solutions associated with the alignment and integration of CAD tools. They will assist groups throughout the company with CAD solution plans and structure to ensure users successfully utilize the tools. The position supports electrical CAD instances throughout Collins Aerospace, requiring knowledge of the application portfolio and technical needs of programs and functional end-users.
  • Responsibilities include developing automation scripting and code, addressing end-user incidents and fulfilling requests, providing Level 2 & 3 end-user support of electrical CAD software, performing root cause analysis, debugging, and resolving CAD environment issues. They will document system support details, support expert-level users, define best practices, methods, training guides, and standard company processes, and support System Integration and User Acceptance Testing.
  • The individual will work closely with IT for maintenance of CAD applications, including license reviews, needs, and upgrades. They will be responsible for the configuration, development, and deployment of Electrical CAD solutions, including vendor downloads and tool deployment. The role also involves providing demos, preparing training material, arranging training sessions for business users, and researching new technology for the Electrical Design space.
