Requirements
- PE Licensure (Electrical) is required
- Knowledge of design and engineering techniques is required
- Ability to travel to sites for inspections
- Ability to pass MVR check and be insured under company policy
- Experience in working with multiple discipline projects within the telecommunication, residential, commercial, or light/heavy industrial fields is preferred
- Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office
Nice to have
- Experience in designing commercial-grade photovoltaic (PV) facilities
- Familiarity with National Electrical Code (NEC)
- Familiarity with NFPA 780
- Familiarity with Motorola R56
Day to day
- Responsible for planning and conducting independent work requiring judgment in evaluating, selecting, applying, and adapting engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria
- Devise new approaches to problems, prepare or modify drawings, monitor work compliance to applicable codes, and accept engineering practices and standards
- Perform inspections on telecommunications sites from ground, rooftops, and raw land sites
- Prepare reports related to tower mappings and inspections
- Prepare detailed construction drawings on collocation and raw land sites
- Develop proficiency in equipment details for several clients
