Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 5+ years experience for Junior, 10+ years for Senior
  • Knowledge in electrical distribution system design development
  • Ability to perform electrical load analysis, coordination studies, and ArcFlash hazard analysis
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Familiarity with IEC, NEC, IEEE, ABS, CFR, USCG, SOLAS, IMO regulations
  • Experience with software such as AutoCAD, EZpower, ETAP, MATLAB
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to travel occasionally as needed

Nice to have

  • Experience with marine vessels
  • Knowledge of FMEA
  • Design integration skills

Day to day

  • Develop electrical systems for marine vessels and floating structures
  • Perform calculations to assist in design and fabrication
  • Coordinate various phases of engineering work on projects
