Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
  • 5+ years electrical engineering experience for Electrical Engineer level
  • 8+ years progressively responsible electrical engineering experience for Senior Electrical Engineer level
  • Experience supporting power systems substations transmission or renewable energy facilities
  • Working knowledge of renewable generation technologies
  • Knowledge of IEEE ANSI NESC NERC and FERC requirements
  • Experience with protection systems relays power studies and electrical system modeling
  • Strong analytical organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple engineering assignments independently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced expertise in electrical system design protection coordination transmission systems substations and grid integration for Senior level
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex engineering initiatives across multiple sites for Senior level
  • Experience providing technical leadership mentoring engineers and establishing engineering standards for Senior level
  • Proven ability to influence engineering decisions across cross-functional teams for Senior level

Day to day

  • Provide electrical engineering support across wind and solar assets to improve safe and reliable operations
  • Maintain studies equipment specifications drawings and engineering documentation for substations collection systems and transmission assets
  • Analyze protection events review maintenance records conduct inspections and support compliance reliability and capital projects
