Who you are

  • Experience advising on employment law matters across multiple European and Asian jurisdictions
  • Specialist knowledge and experience of Employment Law in UK Ireland Germany Netherlands Belgium and India
  • Experience advising on intellectual property issues including data privacy compliance and regulatory crossover for international issues
  • Must have right to work in the UK
  • Ability to collaborate with P&C for legal issues and Employee Relations advice
  • Experience with employee-related privacy/GDPR matters
  • Ability to work under general supervision and use independent judgment appropriately
  • Highly responsive flexible collaborative and service-oriented attitude
  • Ability to determine and develop solutions to complex legal issues
  • Ability to draft country-specific employment policies and oversee their implementation
  • Ability to influence and provide timely and effective legal and business advice support and training at all organizational levels

Desirables

  • International experience desirable
  • Qualified attorney licensed to practice law with a current license held in good standing



What the job involves

  • Provide strategic advice and counsel on various employment issues including recruitment, hiring, disciplinary actions, terminations, benefits, leaves of absence, accommodations issues, compensation, contingent workers, HR policies and practices, and performance management among others
  • Advise on employment obligations across Europe, Asia, and other jurisdictions
  • Create policies, standards, and business procedures to ensure compliance with employment laws
  • Draft, review employment agreements, policies, work rules
  • Manage pre-litigation employment and intellectual property disputes with outside counsel as needed
  • Develop compliance training
  • Stay updated on legal developments
