The Community You Will Join

The Booking & Pricing organization has a wide array of mission critical responsibilities across the Guest and Host experience including merchandising listings, enabling Booking and Reservation Management and managing pricing & calendar systems.

In addition to working with other engineering organizations such as Payments and Trust, you will be responsible for closely collaborating with cross-functional partners in Product Marketing, Design and Data Science.

The Difference You Will Make

You will lead the Reservation Platform & Additional Products team which owns the system responsible for recording all orders at Airbnb and providing a scalable foundation for additional products such as travel insurance, Experiences, and more. With users around the world, development speed, reliability, scalability, and efficiency are our team’s core concerns.

A Typical Day

Leadership: Lead the organizational and technical direction of the teamproactively share context to help the team connect the dots of their work with broader company initiativesTeam Building: Build a robust team by attracting top talent, mentoring individuals and regularly providing feedbackTech Quality: Nurture a culture of technical quality from design, through code review, to productionCollaboration: Collaborate with internal teams and cross-functional partners across Bookings, Payments and Trust to gain agreement by developing and communicating a clear and impactful vision and priorities for the teamPlanning & Execution: Implement a execution framework that detects problems early and enables thoughtful planning, tracking and reporting on the work of the team 
Your Expertise

3+ years of engineering management experience, with 9+ years of relevant software development industry experience in a fast paced tech environment.You have excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team and with teams across the engineering organizationYou are a strong problem solver and have led a team that is on-call for production systems before.You are passionate about efficiency, availability, technical quality and system quality.

Your Location:

This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed to with your manager.
