Who you are

• 3-5+ years of engineering management experience, with 9+ years of industry experience with a BS/Masters or 6+ years of industry experience with a PhD
• Strong coding abilities and experience with architectural patterns of large, high-scale applications
• Experience architecting, building, and maintaining highly available services in a large service-oriented architecture (SOA)
• Familiarity with patterns, libraries and frameworks for building and testing services, and service-to-service communication
• Experienced building payments or relevant systems
• Successfully partnered with Product, Data Science, Finance, Legal, and/or Compliance functions
• Track record in partnering with recruiting to build incredible engineering teams
• Actively coached and mentored team members in their careers
• Consistently made culture choices that positively impact all of engineering
• Experience in partnering with other leaders in setting product strategy

What the job involves

• Oversee the development and maintenance of tools to mitigate payment risks within the organization
• Collaborate with Product Management and cross-functional teams to automate tooling for agents and the engineering community
• Migrate existing tools to a newer tech stack
• Implement industry best practices and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
• Navigate the team through technical and regulatory constraints and communicate complex subject matter to both payments and non-payments stakeholders
