Remote Experienced Staff Accountant Job in Los Angeles, CA SingerLewak LLP

Who you are

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Management, Economics, Finance, or related field
• 1 year of work experience in public accounting, business management, economics, finance or related occupation
• Expertise in compiling financial statements, bank reconciliations, and year-end journal entries
• Knowledge in entertainment industry practices, process check deposits, approved bill payments
• Experience in preparing withholding tax forms, various types of year-end 1099 forms, payroll, retirement contribution calculations
• Ability to prepare federal and state tax returns, comprehensive supplemental forms and schedules
• Experience with IRS and state tax authorities’ notices, coordinate audits, SALT tax reporting
• Proficiency in computer accounting and tax software programs including CCH ProFx System, CCH Axcess Tax, CFS Payroll System, Quickbooks Payroll, Quickbooks Desktop, and Quickbooks Online
• Experience in fulfilling business surveys from U.S. Census Bureau and U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics
• Provide incorporation and revivor assistance
• Research newly enforced tax regulations

What the job involves

• Provide complete business management services to individual/corporate clients
• Answer client and support staff questions regarding clients’ financial/tax matters
• Prepare tax returns, financial statements, and cash/tax projections
• Analyze investments, insurance, purchases, contracts under supervision
• Delegate tasks to assistant bookkeeper and perform research projects
• Review and prepare workpapers, general ledgers, and attend client meetings
