Requirements
- MS or equivalent with 4 to 8 years related experience or PhD in biological sciences
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Customer focus and teamwork
- Experience with agronomic research and field trials
- Ability to analyze and interpret data
- Spreadsheet and word processing proficiency
- Willingness to travel 25 to 50 percent overnight
- Valid driver’s license with good driving record
- Ability to lift at least 40 lbs
- Able to work outdoors in adverse conditions
- Must obtain pesticide applicator and other required licenses

Day to day
- Initiates and directs scientific research and development strategies to support Valent’s product pipeline.
- Plans and executes field trials, demonstration plots, and small-plot replicated studies across assigned territory.
- Builds strong relationships with growers, university personnel, advisors, and internal teams while providing technical and market support.
