Role Overview:
12 Month Contract Remote - United Kingdom and Ireland
The Finance Operations Specialist will play a vital role in maintaining the financial accuracy of our projects, including budget tracking, purchase order management, and financial reporting. This position is ideal for someone with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a passion for the video game industry. You will collaborate closely with internal marketing and commercial teams and other departments to ensure the smooth execution of financial processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Purchase Order (PO) Management:
Open and process POs for internal teams, ensuring accurate coding and alignment with budget allocations.Track the status of open POs and ensure timely closure and reporting.
Budget Forecasting, Tracking & Reporting:
Assist in monitoring and forecasting marketing project and department budgets, identifying variances, and providing insights for budget adjustments.Prepare and maintain monthly financial reports for management, including budget vs. actuals, and forecasts.Collaborate with department leads to ensure financial data aligns with project timelines and goals.Accounting Support:
Assist with general ledger entries, journal entries, and account reconciliations.Support month-end and year-end close processes.Financial Coordination:
Coordinate with finance teams to ensure accurate and timely invoicing, payment processing, and financial data sharing.Work closely with the project management team to ensure financial alignment with ongoing development timelines.Compliance & Documentation:
Maintain organized records of financial transactions and prepare documentation for audits.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.1-2 years of experience in finance, accounting, or a similar role (internships or relevant experience in the video game or entertainment industry is a plus).Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting software (such as SAP, QuickBooks, or Oracle) is a plus.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.Excellent communication and organizational skills.Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.Passion for video games and interest in the gaming industry is highly desirable.
