Financial Planning Analyst

Day to day

• Create budgets and financial forecasts for a growing multiple 7 figure marketing agency business
• Review financial books monthly and project growth in revenue and costs
• Proactively provide executive management with support and advice on hiring spending and operational challenges
• Predict business changes develop budgets and help understand and improve business performance
• Oversee quality control of monthly accounting close process and use trend analysis and monthly analytical reviews to identify challenges
• Develop annual budget processes and recommend annual financial budgets for the company
• Develop reporting procedures to communicate company goals and performance results to executive management and employees
• Prepare forecasts and analyze trends in sales finance and related areas to evaluate progress towards goals
• Perform both quantitative and qualitative analysis of operational aspects to map out and adjust future goals and plans
• Identify favorable and unfavorable revenue and spending trends and make recommendations for improved performance and efficiency
• Issue monthly variance statements and recommendations to mitigate negative variances
• Develop KPIs and financial metrics to understand business dynamics and create financial models and decision-support tools
• Analyze results using trend analysis to maximize the accuracy of the monthly accounting close process
• Provide ROI analysis for client projects other duties as assigned
