Remote Fire & Security Systems Engineer Job in Exeter, UK G4S

Who you are

• Previous electro-mechanical experience
• Minimum 5 years’ experience installing & servicing access control systems, CCTV systems, and intruder alarm systems
• Experience with installing and servicing fire alarm systems, preferably GENT based
• IT qualification and/or Electrical/Electronic qualification
• Broad technical IT knowledge including installing Windows OS and networking
• Basic electrical knowledge such as measuring voltage and current drain
• Attention to detail for accurate paperwork completion and procedure adherence
• Team player who works well under pressure
• Maintain professional approach at all times

What the job involves

• Attend to maintenance calls directed by team coordinators either on-site or via telephone
• Rectify all faults on the first visit when possible
• Perform preventative maintenance visits regularly
• Record site configuration information accurately
• Maintain car stock levels for spares
• Keep accurate and timely records
• Provide rotating out-of-hours cover
• Commission small projects as needed
• Conduct quality procedure audits
• Provide training to customers and colleagues when necessary
• Perform additional tasks as required
