Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree is required preferably in Accounting Finance or Business Administration
  • 1+ years' experience in Finance/Accounting preferably in a government contracting environment
  • Must be willing to learn financial systems and tools including Costpoint IBM Cognos Analytics and Oracle Hyperion SmartView/EPBCS
  • General knowledge of government contract types to include Firm Fixed Price Time and Materials and Cost Reimbursable preferred
  • Must be organized detail oriented motivated and able to multitask in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite proficiency in Excel is a must
  • Ability to interact and communicate both oral and written with individuals across the organization
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented dedicated individual with a strong work ethic
  • Ability to think critically to solve problems

Day to day

  • Support Corp FP&A in responding to internal and external reporting needs by creating an array of custom-built files and reports
  • Work with the corporate financial systems team to ensure the firm’s reporting tools support the needs of the Corp FP&A team
  • Produce scheduled financial reports to include monthly forecast and variance analysis
  • Identify bookings backlog revenue cost and profit trends and patterns by developing insightful analytics for better decision making
  • Administer company’s financial planning tool Oracle by maintaining user accounts and validating credentials
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to make effective changes in the area of financial systems project financial control and reporting and financial dashboarding
  • Assist in the development of the annual operating plan and quarterly and monthly forecasts
  • Ad hoc financial reporting
