Requirements

  • Prior experience in FP&A ideally in a manufacturing company
  • Demonstrated ability to develop financial processes focusing on continuous improvement within the finance function and the wider business with the use of power BI and systems including D365 Vena and Datalake
  • Demonstrated ability to take full ownership of your reporting and stakeholder relationships
  • Demonstrated ability to map and improve current processes
  • Highly motivated with a desire to push boundaries and create value
  • Solutions oriented
  • Power BI and Datalake experience preferred

Day to day

  • Full ownership of group reporting of the 4 entities listed above
  • Finance business partnering with VPs sales and IT
  • Building new processes and improving efficiencies within the consolidation of budgeting and forecasting
  • Responsibility for the Business Unit’s forecasting and budgeting framework giving clarity across the BU on timelines and requirements ensuring there is sufficient time for the effective analysis/challenge of submissions and supporting the FD with insight and value-based analysis
  • Partnering with IT and the Group FP&A Director to enhance management reporting at a subsidiary and Business Unit level creating better financial visibility for the Ophthalmic SVP
  • Implementing and monitoring key Business Unit metrics working with Plant Controllers to challenge NWC metrics standard cost variances cost optimisation plans
  • Creating a reporting structure for VPs and producing monthly reporting packs for the BU Finance Director
  • Digitalising reports within Power BI
  • Overseeing an effective and efficient framework of cost allocation across the BU to ensure costs are appropriately understood and reported at a business unit level
  • Lead the production of key periodic commercial information packs to support the communication of the Group’s performance and budgets
  • Lead the regular assessment of the Group’s significant commercial opportunities and risks using the information to help shape business priorities and mitigating actions
  • Develop efficient and accurate models for all planning and reporting activity ensuring consistent use across all business units and divisions
