Requirements

  • Business savvy with high degree of intellectual curiosity
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
  • MBA/CFA/CPA/CMA/FMVA qualifications preferred
  • 7+ years experience mostly FP&A/plant finance & accounting
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and standard cost accounting
  • Experience communicating financial and operational performance with leadership
  • Familiarity with accounting and finance software like Oracle SAP Hyperion Power BI etc.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team setting while balancing multiple projects
  • Eagerness to learn and grow self-starter

Nice to have

  • Experience in publicly traded or large privately held organizations
  • Experience in plant manufacturing and operational FP&A
  • Industry experience working with tangible products
  • Additional experience in Accounting Consulting Advisory or Auditing

Day to day

  • Lead all aspects of FP&A at key Plant Sites in US and Canada providing financial leadership insights planning and analysis to Sites
  • Develop and track financial and operational KPIs and related analytics such as sales profitability at product market and department levels
  • Create dashboard reporting for internal management to run operations effectively
  • Conduct capital project analysis CAPEX Opex and costing analytics
  • Partner with Accounting on proper maintenance of costing standards COGS and align in the FP&A planning tool
  • Perform scenario modeling and what-if analyses to support leadership decision-making
  • Prepare and communicate periodic KPI labor and plant process reporting
  • Analyze and model changes in product design raw materials overhead and manufacturing methods for effects on production costs
  • Evaluate and report manufacturing efficiency variances to help Managers create corrective action assignments
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on ad hoc projects to improve profitability and operational efficiency
