Remote Game Designer Job in United States Meta

Who you are

• 6+ years of game design experience or a minimum of 2 shipped titles
• Experience with 3D development engines such as Unity or Unreal
• Experience designing games from concept to launch and live ops
• Experience coordinating diverse cross-functional teams
• Experience in design strategy and vision execution, including prototyping
• A portfolio featuring your games demonstrating game design skills

Desirables

• Experience developing or designing VR or AR games
• General design knowledge across various specializations
• Knowledge of 3D art and visual design principles
• Experience utilizing data for strategy and decision making

What the job involves

• Work with designers, artists, engineers, and product managers to prototype, design, and ship first-party content across Horizon Worlds
• Explore innovative new experiences, layouts, mechanics, and systems that facilitate and enable social connections
• Utilize best practices from VR, MR, desktop, and mobile to design end-to-end experiences with novel core mechanics
• Oversee user experience implementation from product conception to launch, including post-launch design support
• Advocate for game design and contribute to building an inclusive game design community within Reality Labs and Meta
