Requirements
- Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
- Active Colorado law license in good standing
- At least 5 years of legal practice experience
- Meaningful nonprofit governance or contracts experience preferred
- Experience advising across multiple legal domains
- Ability to commit 50 to 75 hours annually
- Current professional liability or malpractice coverage
- Willingness to enter a written scope of services agreement

Day to day
- Serve as principal legal advisor to the Board and Executive Director on nonprofit governance and compliance matters
- Review and advise on contracts policies partnership agreements and internal legal infrastructure for a humanitarian coordination platform
- Provide on-call guidance on employment law liability risk management and real-world disaster response issues as they arise
